Determined to preserve, maintain, expand, and invigorate theatre and performing arts, the SEKENET Association will elevate the staging of ‘Corpse Theatre’ with excellence for ArtsFAS 2021. We aim to emphasise various metaphorical elements within our performance for audience to enjoy the aesthetics and appreciate the depth of the performance.

“Mayat” is a one-act drama that tells the story of how four friends face a dilemma after their friend dies. They faced a moral and social Dilemma as they could not bury their friend who had just died as a result of no more empty cemeteries. Then came outsiders to buy the bodies of their friends and change all their problems. Having decided to sell the corpse of their friend, unfortunately the corpse is no longer in their place.
