Malaysian Craft Council (Pertubuhan Kraf Kebangsaan) was established in 2019. The body was formed to empower the ecosystem of Malaysian craft to a new level through education, experience and economic evaluation. Malaysian Craft Council is a non-profit organisation that advocates and accelerates the growth of Malaysian craft industry covering all craft categories (Batik, Songket, Tenun, Silver, Ceramic, Embroidery, and all other craft segments). It acts as a connecting platform for industry players, bringing Malaysian craft to the world via various collaborative projects with international organisations or its affiliate networks. As a newly established organisation, it welcomes strategic partnerships with other parties be it from the government or private sectors.
Malaysian Arts & Crafts Programme
Kelantan Exchange 2021 by Malaysian Craft Council is designed to sustain Malaysia’s arts and culture heritage. The programme will be hosted in Kelantan and aims to relook into the future of Malaysian arts and craft.
